[23rd March 2006] The Warwick Leadership Foundation partnered with the Mary Seacole Memorial Foundation to celebrate the work of this Victorian pioneering nurse and heroine of the Crimean War. She is one of the two famous women who aided British Troops in the Crimea. Her Contemporary, Florence Nightingale has been celebrated and is renowned and celebrated to this day. Mary Seacole however today remains largely forgotten. The Memorial was focused in maintaining her legacy alive!!
